PROGRAMS }Our experienced staff members offer your infant or toddler individualized attention and nurturing care and support to his or her developmental needs.
Preschool (Age 2 - 5)
Our Preschool program runs from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We offer 2, 3, and 5 day programs. We primarily use the Abeka program.
Abeka is a Christian based curriculum that teaches letters by phonics, numbers, colors, shapes, Bible lessons, and other
concepts important to the development of small children.
More information about Abeka
We also like to incorporate other areas and add to the
program to keep it interesting to the children. For example, we add art, music, and additional techniques to help
the children understand the material. Social learning is also a large part of our program. Small children benefit
from social time as much as academic time. Each day the children are given free time to play and interact with each other.
Our kindergarten program runs from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Our kindergarten program is a continuation of our preschool program. Children work with letters and phonics to begin simple reading. Numbers up to 100 are taught. Shapes are more extensive than the younger students. Bible lessons go in depth on the concepts of the Bible through stories and object lessons. The program also incorporates art, music, social studies, and science.
Before/After School CareSchool-age children and their parents know that the Academy is a fun, safe place to spend time before and after school. Children can burn energy outside, spend time reading, get help with homework, grab a snack, and meet new friends. LVCA will provide transportation to and from school (see list below) with written permission from the parent.
Loudoun Valley Christian Academy Summer Program is a fun filled, action packed, theme based summer program. Each week's theme is surrounded by field trips, crafts, games and activities. There are frequent visits to local parks and the public library. We operate our Summer Program starting after the last day of school for Loudoun County. There will be child care available for West Virginia school age students following their last day of school. Please check with us in late spring to find out more about the 2010 Summer Program.
